We're Back

 
You ladies are truly amazing!  We are so excited to have met so many of you at the show.  It's really neat to be able to put a name with a face.  We talk to so many of you on the phone, but to actually meet you was great! These are some of the pics we took of our first "Sweet Tea Ltd." show booth.  cute, huh?  We even had a dressing room!  Check out the chandelier in the pic below. Another vendor was selling those, and we just had to have.  You can find so many wonderful things at these shows! 

 Many of you are calling and e-mailing (is that a word?) about the Sweet Tea Ltd. Collection.  We are in the process of compiling our inventory and getting pics on the website etc., so bear with us, please.  Check the website often, as it will go live any day now....  Please note, however, that the Sweet Tea Ltd. Collection is just that.... limited.  These items are not mass produced in a BIG factory, and the show went really, really well.  Hopefully, all of your favorites are still in stock.

Another reason we are so excited is that you are sending in some great pics of your adorable children wearing Sweet Tea.  We are kinda partial to Sweet Tea, but when we see these photos, we realize that ya'll love it too!  It just makes our day!   We'll start showing some as soon as we can get them loaded.....  Trying to prioritize!

And some of you may be wondering who the sweet young thing was helping us ring up your goodies....  Meet Rachel, the ever so sweet, hard working, beautiful, and puts up with us, young lady.  This girl is a gem I tell you, I think we got a "keeper"!  Ya'll have a blessed day!

Off to market...

We are so excited...we are busy getting ready for a craft/art show in Birmingham, AL (Cottontail's at the BJCC) the end of this week. We will be debuting our Sweet Tea Ltd. collection at the show. We decided to start small since we are so busy with our trunk shows. Here's snapshot...

Take a look at our new Rose dress. I just love it. The blue and white floral fabric is so sweet. It takes me to Cape Cod where I am sitting on the front porch of my cottage on the beach sipping on a tall glass of sweet tea...doesn't sound so bad does it! In reality, I am sitting at my office, knee deep in work, watching it rain, and sipping on a Diet Coke! Doesn't hurt to dream!

 
 

All right, time for a freebie.  Since our little ones are not such little ones any longer, we would love for you guys to help us out!  We need some photos of your little ones in our designs. Send us pics of your little ones wearing Sweet Tea designs (email to info@sweetteaonline.com). We will pick three winners...think outside the box, be creative, show your style.  The winners will receive a...(can't tell you it's a secret)! Need to send in entries by Friday, March 12.

It's crazy around here...

Sorry, it's been a while since we've posted. Hate to keep saying that...this just seems to be one of those things that gets put on the backburner.  The spring season is exceeding our expectations and we are extremely busy, which is a good thing!! Family time is limited and pretty much life is on hold...but we asked for it! You guys are great and we are amazed at the positive response this season.

The weather here has been crazy...warm one day and snowing the next. I'm not so sure about this global warming thing, at least not in Montgomery, AL! It snowed all day Friday before last and we didn't even get to play in it.  We watched from the window at the office as flakes fell...not used to the snow here!

Here's another pic of Gracie...this is Lori's daughter and we think she is precious! If you have any pics of your little ones in Sweet Tea, we would love for you to share them with us and the rest of the Sweet Tea family!

It's Friday!

Alright, here we go.  The most popular fabric so far this season is #22. Yup!  You guessed it, too. Well, a couple of you did.   So we put your names in a hat and drew out a WINNER.  MindyandKaitlyn - you are the winner!  E-mail us your shipping and sizing info (and specify boy/girl) and we will get you some "goodies". 

Seems like every order we process has something made out of fabric #22.  I guess because of the cover of the catalog, the header on the blog and not to mention that the fabric is so dang cute - everyone wants it! 

 

If you go to a show, let me know what you think.  We want to hear some feedback.  Tell all your friends about us and get them to post as well.  The more comments we get, the more contests we will have.  Come on, who doesn't love free stuff?  Show us some love, so we can love on you back!!

Oh, and if you see this sign, then you need to check out the goods inside.  These are the new signs for hostesses to put in their yard.  If you see one when you are out and about, let us know.

Couldn't Ask for More

I bet you all thought we had forgotten about you, huh.  Well, that is definitely not the case.  It has just been super busy around here!  The overwhelming response we have gotten on the catalog - wow!  You all are so very kind with your wonderful words of encouragement.  We are so glad that you love it.  Every season, we wait, anticipating how you all will respond to what we have poured our hearts and souls (not to mention, hours and hours) into.  Of course, there are certain "favorites", but by and large, there are not many fabrics or styles that somebody, somewhere, doesn't just "have to have".  Well, we just couldn't ask for more...

On a contest note, guess which fabric is the most popular, so far this season, (I know we are just getting started) and I'll draw a winner from the correct responses on Friday morning.    Check out the fabric chart and give me the number that corresponds to your guess.  Only 3 guesses per person please to keep it fair.

It's Monday

The Winner Is......

Now, you know I can't announce it  - We haven't even held the drawing, yet.  We will do it first thing Monday morning and announce it on the blog, since I don't have an e-mail address for each person that posted.  We have loved reading about your favorite items, though.  I'm having a hard time picking my favorite for spring.  I love, love, love the new Emma tank with the Sunburst Ava skirt, but I'm also partial to the sunflower Splash Zoe crops and Peasant.  For the boys, it's probably the Alex Bubble out of Blue Moon Dot (not in catalog, but in trunk), that thing is so stinkin cute!

On another note, I thought I'd tell ya something about me.  I mean you hear about Sweet Tea and what's going on here and all but may wonder what Carol and I are like.  Not that our lives are very interesting or anything, but maybe who we are and how we got started in all this. 

Well, I was born here in Montgomery.  My dad was in the military, so we moved a lot!  When he retired, his job brought us back here when I was in the 5th grade.  I graduated from Jeff Davis High School, let's just say a while ago.  I met my husband, Mike right out of high school and we started dating.  We dated almost 5 years and got married.   We've been married 21 years.  I graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery in Information Technology.  Worked in my field until the girls came along and decided I needed to be home with them.  Mike and I have 2 girls.  Lauren, 16, is a junior, and Bailey, 13 is in the 8th grade.  They are as different as night and day.  Both equally as wonderful, but different, nontheless!

Carol and I met in Sunday School.  We had a "girls night out" about once a month and we would go to the movies.  We would always get to talking about crafty things - making this, or sewing that.  We both just had a passion for the creative process, not to mention - fabric!  We would just go to fabric stores and spend hours drooling.  So we started a business together.  Began doing small "craft" shows, and it has grown from there.

This is my sweet niece, Emilyn, who is also modeling an early "Sweet Tea".   

 There were times that we questioned, "what are we doing?", but never let it stop us.  Not that there haven't been bumps in the road, because there have definitely been.  We used to get so intimidated by those who appear to have it "together".  Now, we realize that they are probably no more "together" than we are.   We make mistakes along the way, but try to learn from those and move forward.  Most importantly, we try to treat others with the same respect in which we want to be treated, and want our customers to know how much we value their business.  Afterall, out of all the places to buy great clothes, they chose to buy from us!

Well, that is it, in a nutshell.  Obviously, I will let Carol tell her own story.  I'm off, hopefully to catch a nap or chill and watch a movie.  It's rainy here, and I've got a little cold, so the couch is just calling my name!

Anybody Out There?

UPDATE:  I love seeing what all of your favorites are.  Right now, the twirl skirt is in the lead.  Did you know this was one of the first pieces we ever designed?  We call it our "signature" piece.... Girls just love 'em!

Almost Show Time

We are busy little bees around here.  Trying to put the finishing touches on the samples.  It's hard to believe that the season kicks off next week!  Catalogs are mailing this week, and the trunks start shipping on Friday.  We are so excited about this line!  Great fabrics, way cute designs added this season and the best hostesses and reps ever!  Did I mention how excited we are?  Here's a little peek...

My Apologies

So very sorry I haven't posted in quite a while.  Hope everyone had a great Christmas.  It's hard to believe it has already come and gone.  It has been very busy around here lately!  Trying to get the Spring "10 line ready, hostesses scheduled, samples tagged, catalog ready - yes, it is mailing this week!  Hooray!!!  I sure hope you guys like it - we picked some really great fabrics this season and included some new designs as well.  We have been busy little bees around here.  Speaking of the catalog, as soon as I get the final proof I will post a link to it, but in the mean time, enjoy these little snippets!
